The Duluth Bethel and the services that help its clients recover from drug and alcohol abuse were featured on “Making a Difference,” the weekly KBJR-TV segment about people and organizations having a positive impact in the Twin Ports.

The segment focused on the story of Wayne Nelson, a former Bethel client who has overcome substance abuse with help and guidance from the organization. Nelson shared his story with “Making a Difference,” as he has done at recovery meetings at the Bethel and elsewhere in the Twin Ports.

Bethel Executive Director Dennis Cummings said of Nelson, “Wayne is truly a walking miracle who has had some incredible challenges in his life … and has worked very hard to overcome those barriers. He spends a good majority of his time giving back to the community and making a difference for others.”
